What Are Mini Dental Implants?
The MDI System consists of a miniature titanium implant that acts like the root of your tooth and a retaining fixture that is incorporated into the base of your denture, The head of the implant is shaped like a ball and the retaining fixture acts like a socket that contains a rubber O-ring. The O-ring snaps over the ball when the denture is seated and holds the denture at a predetermined level of force. When seated, the denture gently rests on the gum tissue.

When can Mini Dental Implants be used?
When healing of the bone is complete after removal of a tooth and the mini implants can be placed in good, solid bone, mini implants can function as long-term supporting structures to hold the dentures securely in place. In fact, some have been successfully functioning in patients' jaws for several decades. We have also used the mini dental implants to support partial dentures and also for single tooth replacements with crowns
What's the primary and most effective use for Mini Dental Implants?
The most effective use of this unique dental product is stabilization of a lower denture. "Edentulous" patients (who have lost their teeth) struggle every day with dentures. They usually have a lot of discomfort from the loose or ill-fitting dentures. Often they lack confidence to meet people socially as the dentures move around during eating and talking. They simply withdraw from any type of social engagement. It's not uncommon for Very often, family members dislike the unpleasant breath of a denture wearer which is the result of food being trapped under the loose denture. The denture adhesive that becomes unavoidable with a loose denture also leaves a foul odor and feel in the mouth. Successful placement of the Mini Dental Implant eliminates all of these social and practical problems.  ..

How  can Mini Dental Implants help denture wearers?

Four mini dental implants are usually inserted into the front of the jaw, two on each side of the midline. This is a relatively painless procedure, requiring only a mild local anesthesia.
Your denture is then carefully adjusted by us. Four connectors or housings are fixed inside the denture so that it can snap onto the four mini implants. The denture now fits securely and comfortably on the implants, resting lightly on the gums. You can now speak and eat with confidence. You do not have to use that nasty, detestable adhesive to hold your denture in place!
The Mini Dental Implants are placed in about an hour's time.
